09.09.09 Kate Moss drama

September is here and it seems like London is back in full swing again.  Last night was the Mercury Music Prize ceremony with relative unknown Speech Debelle taking home the main prize.  Apparently she's only sold 3,000 records and hasn't even charted yet.  This is all about to change of course and no doubt the coffee-shops of Islington this morning will be full of people proclaiming her the "most important artist of the year". 

Not far away were the GQ Awards which Kate Moss stormed out of for some reason or another.  On her way out she happened to interrupt an interview being conducted with Dizzee Rascal.  She then returned to see if anyone had seen her lost lipstick, interrupting the interview again!  Dizzee was not impressed by this, and told her to "go away" - go on son!  For the full story, watch this video.

05.09.09 PRPS Hearts Start

Thursday night saw the launch party for denim label PRPS and Brix Smith-Start's collaboration at the Start boutique on Rivington Street in Shoreditch.   PRPS is the denim label of choice for A-listers, worn by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Megan Fox and Bradley Pitt amongst others.  Brix Smith-Start is probably most famous for her role as stylist in Gok Wan's Fashion Fix programme and has collaborated with PRPS for a limited edition range of jeans and leather jackets (pictured below).

The jeans are described as "a pair of Japanese denim boyfriend jeans with oxidised studded pocket patch and worn heart on back" and cost £350.  The jacket is "black cropped Italian leather updated with oxidised studded heart" and cost £850.
