04.08.08 Polka dot.

There are certain trends we come across often when scouting the streets for your fashion pleasure, and one of these recently has been the polka dot. We've seen big ones and small ones, most often on tops but also on dresses. We like the large ones in contrasting colours to their background, but that's a personal thing, a bit like cream-cheese with jam. We say be bold and loud!

28.07.08 Cardigan.

This weeks style item is the versatile cardigan, which can be worn in a number of ways and on a number of occasions.  In particular we've seen many girls wearing long cardigans, which are ideal for the summer when you don't want to wear a jacket but you need something if it gets cold. 

We've seen cardigans worn with jeans, skirts and smart trousers so this really is a versatile style item of the week!

21.07.08 Skinny scarf.

It's the summer, and everyone seems to be wearing scarves?!  Ah yes, my stylish ones, fashion doesn't always make sense, and it would be no fun if it did.  We'd all be wearing waterproofs and bum-bags...now that would be a strong look!  On further inspection the scarves being worn tend to be very thin and more for style than to keep you warm.  But with the ever-changing weather they do give you some additional protection if the wind suddenly picks up.

14.07.08 Turn-ups.

Turn-up those jeans boys and girls, this is a huge look on the streets at the moment. People are mostly wearing their turned-up jeans with boat shoes, pumps or sandals but you can of course try out your own style. We've seen a few different takes on this, one being the riviera look with light coloured jeans and pastel shirts teamed with white boat shoes, or the rocker look with dark denims and checked shirts. Whichever you choose, make sure those socks are either hidden or not worn at all!

07.07.08 Kaftan.

Our style item of this week is the kaftan.  We've seen a few girls wearing these around town, and they look hot!  We've seen them worn long on their own with a belt, and also with jeans and the now ubiquitous gladiator sandals.  Put simply, they're an easy way of making you look very sexy!

We’re seeing a lot of Doc Martens at the moment.

You better believe it brothers and sisters, these bad-boys are no longer the preserve of the punks and Goths, they’ve moved right back into the mainstream as though it was the mid-90’s all over again. Currently we’re seeing these on just the uber-trendies, but they’re due to go massive any time soon. Guys are teaming them with super skinny jeans for that Jonny Rotten look, whilst girls have been seen wearing them with leggings, mini-skirts and hot-pants.
